Kyrgyz ambassador takes part in international seminar in Pakistan

Bishkek, Jan. 9, 2025. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan (IRP) Avazbek Atakhanov took part in an international seminar in the National Library of Pakistan "Fostering Cultural Harmony: Preserving Diversity among Economic Cooperation Organization member states".

In his speech, Ambassador Atakhanov emphasized the main achievements of Kyrgyzstan in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, focusing on initiatives to preserve bio-cultural diversity, implement the "mountain" strategy and protect the snow leopard.

He also noted the importance of intercultural dialogue and emphasized Kyrgyzstan's openness to international cooperation on the issues under discussion and its readiness to support international initiatives in this direction.

The ambassador expressed the opinion that support and study of the national languages ​​of the ECO countries can become an excellent platform for enhancing cultural and humanitarian interaction between peoples.

During the event, the Kyrgyz ambassador held meetings with Director of the National Library of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan R.J. Iqbal and the President of the ECO Institute of Culture S.S. Khan.

In addition, the Embassy organized an exhibition of unique paintings by Kyrgyz artists at the National Art Gallery of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, dedicated to the theme of the seminar. The exhibition will last until January 14, 2025.

The event was attended by more than 150 representatives of the arts and culture of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, ministries and government agencies, and the media.

This event is being held at the initiative of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, the ECO Institute of Culture, the Pakistan Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies, as well as diplomatic missions of the ECO countries, including the Kyrgyz Republic.
