Kyrgyz ambassador takes part in Trade and Investment Forum in Riyadh

Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2022. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov took part in the Trade and Investment Forum organized by the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the ambassadors of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, the forum was attended by the heads and representatives of the Islamic Development Bank, the Saudi Development Fund, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, large business and investment companies of the Kingdom, as well as well-known chain retailers in the Middle East region.

During the forum for the heads of diplomatic missions, an overview of investment opportunities in the Kingdom and the development of the country in the light of the national strategy "Saudi Vision 2030", as well as the achievements made in the framework of reforms to diversify the economy of Saudi Arabia, was presented.

Maripov organized for the participants and guests of the forum a presentation on trade, economic and investment projects, as well as tourism opportunities in Kyrgyzstan, which aroused keen interest among the business community of Saudi Arabia.

Particular attention of the Saudi audience was focused on the fact that at present the president of the Kyrgyz Republic and the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers are actively working to improve the investment climate in the country to create a favorable business environment, as well as protect the interests of domestic and foreign investors.

Taking into account the holding of the Kyrgyz-Saudi business forum and fair exhibition in Riyadh on February 24-27, 2022, the Kyrgyz ambassador called on Saudi companies and entrepreneurs to take an active part in these events.

Within the framework of the forum, Maripov also held separate bilateral meetings with representatives of the Islamic Development Bank, the Saudi Development Fund, the chairman of the Federation of Saudi Arabian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, as well as a number of companies. During the meetings, the possibilities and prospects for mutually beneficial business and investment cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were discussed.
