Bishkek, April 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Korea Aida Ismailova met with President of the Korean Institute of Advanced Technology (KIAT) Yeong Cheol Seok.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, during the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation of the project of Korean-Kyrgyz technological consultations and training in the textile industry. They also discussed promising projects in the field of light industry, in particular the creation of a Kyrgyz-Korean cooperation center for digital technologies for textile production in Kyrgyzstan, as well as projects on water management, food industry, construction of a textile technology park, energy and renewable energy sources.
In connection with the global problem of climate change, Ismailova suggested focusing on attracting advanced green technologies to Kyrgyzstan.
In response, the KIAT President noted that as part of the decision of the South Korean government to include Kyrgyzstan in the priority list of partner countries for receiving grant assistance through ODA for the next 5 years, the Korean side intends to pay attention to sharing advanced Korean experience.
