As part of a working trip to Bahawalpur, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan UlanbekTotuyaev met with President of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Hafiz Muhammad Yunus and its honorary members, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for the development of trade and economic relations between the two countries. Totuyaev informed the Pakistani side in detail about the investment and tourism potential of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The sides also discussed issues of enhancing mutually beneficial partnership between the business circles of the two countries, in particular in the field of agriculture, tourism and education.
At the end of the meeting, the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan invited honorary members of the Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry to participate in the Kyrgyz-Pakistani business forum in Islamabad and Lahore, scheduled from 11 to 16 April this year. on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
Bahawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry was founded in 1986. To date, members of the chamber are more than 1,800 representatives of various companies in the region, including producers of cotton, rice, flour, vegetable oils, sugar, textile products and spare parts for various kinds of machines.
