Bishkek, Oct.1, 2024. /Kabar/. Within the framework of work on support of domestic agro-industrial institutions, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Switzerland Omar Sultanov visited Syngenta company.
Syngenta is the world's leading agrotechnical research company, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
The company's activities include: crop protection, seed selection, as well as digital solutions in agriculture using artificial intelligence. It is headquartered in Basel, Switzerland, with offices in 90 countries. Syngenta employs 30,000 people worldwide.
At the meeting, the Swiss company presented technologies for satellite monitoring of farmers' fields. On the example of projects in Kenya and Tanzania, information was demonstrated about successful experience in identifying cultivation deficiencies and providing farmers with recommendations and innovative fertilizers, with the help of which yields were increased up to 100%.
The parties agreed on concrete steps to establish cooperation between Syngenta and the Artificial Intelligence Center of the Kyrgyz National University.
