Kyrgyz ambassador to Turkey visits Antalya Province

Bishkek, Oct. 21, 2019 / Kabar /. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev made a working trip to Antalya Province of Turkey, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

In order to protect the rights of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, Omuraliev met with head of the Migration Directorate under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey Gezde Ozkorul, governor of Antalya Munir Karaloglu, and mayor of Antalya Muhittin Bozhek.

During the meeting with members of theKyrgyz diaspora, issues of protecting the rights and interests of citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, suppressing channels for illegal employment of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey directly in Kyrgyzstan, human trafficking were discussed, brochures were distributed on the rights and obligations of foreign citizens residing in Turkey, and an answer question was organized with the participation of representatives of the Migration Department at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey.

At a meeting with the governor and the mayor of Antalya the parties discussed issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Also discussed issues of cooperation in the field of tourism.

In order to develop friendship and cooperation in the field of culture, as well as taking into account the stay of the majority of Kyrgyz citizens in the city of Antalya, Omuraliev proposed to open a park named after famous Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov. In turn, mayor of Antalya Bozhek supported the ambassador's proposal.

As part of the trip, Omuraliev took part in the specialized exhibition “Fresh Vegetables and Fruits” with the participation of the governor of Antalya, heads of local authorities, as well as foreign ambassadors.
