Kyrgyz ambassador to US proposes American side to increase number of Kyrgyz schoolchildren participating in FLEX program

Bishkek, Aug. 6, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyz Ambassador to the United States Baktybek Amanbaev met with Michael Curtis, Senior Vice President for Strategic Development of the American Councils for International Education.

During the meeting, the American side provided detailed information on the projects being implemented by the American Councils for International Education in Kyrgyzstan.

Amanbaev proposed to increase the number of Kyrgyz schoolchildren participating in the FLEX program and projects for in-depth teaching of English to rural schoolchildren. The ambassador also stressed that one of the most important issues for Kyrgyzstan today is economic development, in connection with which the country is in dire need of specialists in agriculture, energy, tourism, mining and information technology, and their support is a paramount task.
