Bishkek, April 1, 2024 / Kabar/. On March 28, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States and Canada Baktybek Amanbaev met with Deputy Director of the Peace Corps David White.
According to the diplomatic mission, during the meeting the sides discussed issues of improving cooperation between the Peace Corps and Kyrgyzstan.
Amanbaev noted that the development of educational and cultural ties between the two countries plays an important role in strengthening cooperation between the United States and Kyrgyzstan.
In addition, the ambassador presented his proposals for joint work in this direction, including improving methods of teaching English and implementing joint projects to educate the American people about Kyrgyz culture and its history.
David White said that the Peace Corps effectively cooperates with about 60 countries of the world and expressed his intention to further strengthen the partnership with the Kyrgyz side. He assured that Peace Corps volunteers will continue to teach English to the younger generation of Kyrgyzstan, help improve the professional level of English teachers, introduce information technology and exchange experience in the field of teaching.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.
