Bishkek, Jan. 17, 2019. /Kabar/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibrahim Dzhunusov visited Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan.
During the visit, Dzhunusova had a meeting with First Deputy Governor of Jizzakh region Mamatkulov, during which the sides noted the state of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek relations, opportunities and prospects for regional cooperation between the provinces of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, tourism and other fields of mutual interest.
Moreover, the head of the diplomatic mission visited Manas village, comprehensively renovated as part of the state program, during which he was shown a family clinic, kindergarten and other facilities equipped with modern technical equipment. In school number 5 in classes with instruction in the Kyrgyz language, open lessons were held with the participation of Ambassador Dzhunusov and an interview with the teaching staff of the school.
A meeting was held by Dzhunusov with the ethnic Kyrgyz of Manas village with the participation of the regional khokim. During the conversation, Dzhunusov informed about the measures taken by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic aimed at supporting compatriots living abroad. In particular, he informed about the opportunities offered to ethnic Kyrgyz and their admission to the leading higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan on a grant basis.
During the event, the complete works of Chingiz Aitmatov and other memorable gifts were presented.
The meeting ended with a festive concert.
