Bishkek, Sept. 19, 2024. / Kabar /. The 4th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Hungarian Strategic Council at the level of the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries has begun in Bishkek on Thursday.
Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Hungary Talantbek Kushchubekov told reporters that the meeting of the Strategic Council is an annual event at which the parties analyze the development of bilateral relations, identify problematic issues that cannot be resolved due to objective or subjective reasons and outline prospects for further strengthening of cooperation, thereby defining the immediate tasks for joint implementation.
"Of course, other ministries and departments involved in our multifaceted cooperation are joining this process. Our bilateral cooperation is developing not only in the political mainstream, but is also dynamically developing in the cultural and humanitarian sphere. In recent years, we have been taking active steps to build trade and economic relations. There have been some advances here, too. In 2023, trade and economic relations increased more than one and a half times compared to 2022. It is clear that we would like to increase the dynamics, but we must understand that this cannot happen so easily. To do this, we need to carry out appropriate work. We have high hopes for our joint fund, which is an incentive organization for the creation of joint ventures that will become the main regulator of our trade and economic relations,” he said.
The Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund with an authorized capital of $16 million is planned to be increased to $50 million. The fund is actively working on the implementation of promising projects, which contributes to the development of investment activities between the countries.
