Kyrgyz and Azerbaijan FMs discuss bilateral events and visit of Azerbaijani President to Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Apr. 27, 2020 / Kabar /. A telephone conversation took place between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov.

The heads of the foreign affairs ministries of Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan, having discussed the measures taken by the countries in the fight against coronavirus infection, noted the importance of establishing direct contacts between medical institutions and the ministries of health of the two countries.

The sides also exchanged views on pressing issues of Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani relations, in particular, the implementation of a number of bilateral events this year, including the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.

Following a telephone conversation, Aidarbekov thanked his colleague for the provided support, including for assisting in organizing the unhindered passage of goods.
