Phone talk of Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani FMs

Bishkek, March 23, 2020./Kabar/.Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov had on Monday a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.

The phone talk was held at the initiative of the Kyrgyz side, the press service of Kyrgyzstan's Foreign Ministry said.

The sides exchanged mutual congratulations on the occasion of the International Nooruz holiday.

During the talk, Chingiz Aidarbekov expressed gratitude for the promptly provided opportunity by the brotherly Azerbaijan to use the transit corridor through its territory from Iran to Russia for 58 Kyrgyz truck drivers, despite the closure of the borders of Azerbaijan and the risks, related to the current difficult situation in the region due to pandemic of COVID-19.

The sides also exchanged views on the topical issues of the Kyrgyz-Azerbaijani agenda and bilateral events scheduled for 2020 in Kyrgyzstan.
