Kyrgyz and Estonian FMs discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, April 11 / Kabar /. Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Erlan Abdyldaev paid his first official visit to the Republic of Estonia on April 10, 2017, at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Sven Mikser, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Estonia in bilateral and multilateral formats, taking into account Estonia's presidency in the European Union in the second half of 2017.

The ministers stressed the need to develop bilateral political dialogue by organizing high level mutual visits and expressed hope for further intensification of the entire range of relations between the countries, including in intensifying trade and economic ties and cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Minister Abdyldaev drew the attention of the Estonian counterpart to the implementation of the national project "Taza Koom" taking into account the successful experience of Tallinn in the implementation of e-government.

In order to develop mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs Abdyldaev and Mikser signed the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Estonia on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion.
