Kyrgyz and Georgian Presidents exchange congratulations on occasion of 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations

Bishkek, July 11 / Kabar /. Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Almazbek Atambayev and Georgia Georgy Margvelashvili exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, the Kyrgyz President’s press service reported.

"Over the past quarter century our countries have been able to establish cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres and create effective mechanisms for cooperation.

I think that an important result of my official visit to Georgia last year was the common opinion on the need to further strengthen Kyrgyz-Georgian relations based on traditional friendship and mutual understanding," the Kyrgyz president's message reads.

Atambayev stressed that the Kyrgyz side is fully ready to intensify cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. He wished the President of Georgia good health, happiness, prosperity, great success in state activities, and peace and prosperity for the friendly Georgian people.

Margvelashvili in his message said that in a relatively short period, Kyrgyzstan and Georgia achieved a mutually beneficial partnership both at the bilateral level and in the international arena.

"I want to express confidence that historical relations of friendship and cooperation between Georgia and the Kyrgyz Republic will be strengthened and developed for the benefit of our peoples," the Georgian President's message reads.

Margvelashvili wished further success for the benefit of Kyrgyzstan.
