Bishkek, May 6, 2023. /Kabar/. Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and India, Jeenbek Kulubaev and Subramaniam Jaishankar, discussed issues of bilateral cooperation within the framework o the regular meeting of the SCO Ministerial Council in the Indian city of Panaji.
According to the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan, during the talks, the sides discussed a wide range of issues on the agenda of the Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation, identified priority areas for effective cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral formats. In addition, the interest of both sides to further develop active cooperation in the political, trade, economic, military-technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres was noted.
Thus, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic outlined the main areas of bilateral cooperation in the field of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, medical tourism, training of Indian students in Kyrgyzstan, and also stressed the importance of developing new areas of Kyrgyz-Indian cooperation in the field of interbank cooperation, implementing grant projects, a credit line, opening full-fledged representations of Indian hospitals in the Kyrgyz Republic, etc.
In conclusion, the sides discussed issues of regional security and stressed the need for close cooperation and information exchange in order to counter regional threats and challenges.
