Kyrgyz and Japanese FMs discuss bilateral cooperation

Bishkek, May 19, 2019. / Kabar /. Within the framework of the 7th Ministerial Meeting of the “Central Asia + Japan” Dialogue, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that, during the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as the implementation of the agreements reached following the meeting in October 2018 in Tokyo.

Aidarbekov noted the interest of the Kyrgyz Republic in expanding the political dialogue, trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Japanese Foreign Minister Kono praised the relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Japan, noting with satisfaction the interaction of the parties in accordance with the governing democratic values ​​and principles.

The sides expressed readiness to continue the dialogue on further strengthening the mutually beneficial partnership and filling it with promising projects in various fields.
