Kyrgyz and Kazakh FMs discuss topical issues of cooperation in Samarkand

Bishkek, April 14, 2023. / Kabar/. On April 13, 2023, within the framework of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States in Samarkand, a bilateral meeting was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that during the conversation, the parties traditionally discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Kazakh cooperation in a constructive manner and outlined prospects for further cooperation.

One of the discussed issues was the procedure for applying the new rules for the entry and stay of foreign citizens in the territory of Kazakhstan in relation to Kyrgyzstanis, which has been in force since January 2023.

Attention was also paid to the implementation of the agreements reached at the highest and high levels, aimed at the comprehensive strengthening of the strategic partnership between the fraternal countries.

In addition, the ministers discussed the schedule of upcoming foreign policy events, as well as exchanged views on topical issues of the regional and international agenda.
