Kyrgyz and Korean Prosecutor Generals sign protocol of cooperation

Bishkek, May 3, 2019. / Kabar /. As part of the working visit of delegation of Supreme Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Korea a bilateral meeting between Kyrgyz and Korean Prosecutor Generals Otkurbek Jamshitov and Moon Moo-il was held in Bishkek.

During the meeting the sides discussed the prospects for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation and cooperation in various areas of prosecutorial oversight, in particular in the areas of combating cybercrime, corruption, recovery of stolen assets, terrorism and religious extremism, smuggling of drugs and their precursors, human trafficking and organization of illegal migration, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

The sides also paid special attention to further cooperation in the exchange of experience and organization of mutual study visits on the basis of educational institutions of the Supreme Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Korea and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic. The organization of such visits is expected from 2020.

Following the meeting Prosecution Generals signed a joint protocol on strengthening and continuing cooperation between the prosecution bodies of the two states.

Within the framework of the working visit of the delegation of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic to Korea in November 2018 Otkurbek Jamshitov and Korean Prosecutor General Moon Moo-il signed Memorandum of Understanding between the Prosecutor General's Offices of the two countries .
