Kyrgyzstan, Qatar eye to deepen relations in different areas

Bishkek, Feb.15, 2020./Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar.

The meeting of the two FMs took place as part of Aidarbekov's participation in the Munich Security Conference 2020.

At the meeting issues of Kyrgyz-Qatari bilateral cooperation and prospects for its development were discussed, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry's press service said.

The FMs of the two countries noted the need to further deepen constructive dialogue in bilateral and multilateral formats by intensifying political dialogue.

Chingiz Aidarbekov and Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani expressed mutual interest in organizing high-level visits and deepening relations in the economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, tourism and attracting Qatari investments to the Kyrgyz economy.

The Munich Security Conference 2020 covers a wide range of security-related topics, including transatlantic and European issues, as well as emerging challenges for the international community.

The 56th Munich Security Conference is taking place on 14-16 February 2020 in Munich.
