Bishkek, Nov. 21, 2022 /Kabar/. Businessmen of Kyrgyzstan and Russia signed contracts worth 10 billion rubles at the Caravan Expo 2022 exhibition in Moscow, the organizer of the event Temirlan Dzhumanazarov told.
According to him, the first exhibition of Kyrgyz goods and services in Russia was aimed at promoting domestic companies in the international market and helping to find new business partners. The next stage will be holding exhibitions that will allow domestic companies to enter the markets of the CIS first, then Europe and the USA.
“Overall, we are satisfied with the results. Contracts have been signed with large chain stores and marketplaces. We initially stated that the total amount of contracts would be about 1 billion Kyrgyz soms, and expected even more exhibits, so the amount of contracts signed could even exceed 10 billion Russian rubles,” said Dzhumanazarov.
The organizers of the exhibition focused on the light industry, since these products are the most relevant in Russia, and Kyrgyz entrepreneurs can provide Russian partners with the volume they want.
“Given the departure of large clothing brands from the Russian market, Kyrgyzstan has an unprecedented opportunity to occupy its niche in a huge country,” said the representative of Caravan Expo 2022.
Large contracts were signed not only by representatives of the light industry, but also by other sectors.
