The press service of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan said that on the section of the Batken-Isfana highway in the Eki-Tash area of ​​ Batken region, the Tajik border squad began throwing stones at cars passing along the highway.

The border guards of Tajikistan ignored the demands of the border squad of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan to stop throwing stones at vehicles. The Kyrgyz border guards were forced to fire warning shots in the air to stop the illegal actions of the Tajik military.

At this time, another border detachment of Tajikistan, which was serving in this area, opened fire on the observation tower, where the Kyrgyz border guards were located.

A skirmish between the border detachments of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan lasted about 20 minutes and ended at 03:10.

There are no victims or wounded from the Kyrgyz side.

On morning of March 10, at about 10:50, at an undescribed section of the border in the area of ​​Teskei, Batken region, the border detachment of the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan, having changed the previously used route, went to a new line of border protection and demanded that the border guards of the Border Guard Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic leave this plot. Reinforcements joined the Tajik border guards. Using numerical superiority, they tried to reach a new frontier. However, the Kyrgyz border guards did not allow the Tajik servicemen to realize their intentions. As a result, a shootout began. There are no wounded or injured from the Kyrgyz side.
