Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev and Tajikistan Sirodjiddin Mukhriddin agreed on further joint actions to resolve the situation on the border, Deputy Director of the First Political Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Aidai Omurkulova told at a press conference at Kabar Agency.

She said that the head of the Foreign Ministry Ruslan Kazakbaev held repeated negotiations with his Tajik counterpart and other representatives of Tajikistan Following the talks, the sides agreed on further joint actions aimed at resolving this situation on the border, which led to casualties.

“The minister emphasized that the Kyrgyz side does not claim foreign territory and does not intend to share its own. The minister noted that all border and economic issues should be resolved at the negotiating table within the delimitation and demarcation of state borders,” Omurkulova said.

She noted that it is important to ensure stability and suppress any conflicts. There were agreements on a ceasefire and the withdrawal of military forces to a permanent location.
