Kyrgyz and Tajik FMs discuss prospects for further relations between countries

Bishkek, May 14, 2022 / Kabar /. On the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the CIS in Dushanbe, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev held a bilateral meeting with his Tajik counterpart Sirojiddin Mukhriddin.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries discussed topical issues of Kyrgyz-Tajik cooperation and prospects for further relations between the states.

The sides confirmed their readiness to resolve issues on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border, and also in this context stressed the importance of continuing meetings of the topographic working groups on the delimitation and demarcation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border.

In addition, the ministers discussed in detail the issues of the consular sphere, in particular, the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of the citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan in the territories of the two countries, and at the end of the meeting, they exchanged views on organizing high-level and top-level events in the near future.
