Bishkek, Feb. 2, 2023. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Turkey discussed increasing the trade turnover between the countries up to USD 2 billion, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
This issue was raised on February 1, 2023, during the meeting of the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev with President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOV) Rifat Hisarcikly oglu in Ankara.
In addition, an exchange of views took place on the opening of trading houses and assistance to entrepreneurs of the two countries in establishing contacts through business forums and business meetings. An agreement was also reached on the exchange of experience between the chambers of the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkey, and the organization of a professional development program for employees of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of its reform.
As part of their visit to the Republic of Turkey, Sariev and a number of Kyrgyz entrepreneurs also took part in the international exhibition of agriculture, horticulture and livestock "AGRO EXPO 2023" in Izmir and held meetings with business circles.
