Kyrgyz and US military departments discuss cooperation

Bishkek, March 9 / Kabar /. Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan, Major-General Zakir Tilenov met today with Commander of the National Guard of Montana, General Matthew T. Quinn.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss military cooperation plans between the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Guard of the State of Montana, the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan reports.

During the talks, the sides exchanged views on military cooperation and identified directions for further cooperation.

"Our countries have established trustful relations and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields - political, economic, cultural and humanitarian. This fully concerns the military cooperation, which is in a special place in the overall system of bilateral Kyrgyz-American relations. Conducting joint exercises, sharing experience with special forces of the armed forces of our countries is a good opportunity to strengthen friendly relations between our servicemen," Major General Zakir Tilenov said.
