Kyrgyz and Uzbek prime ministers discuss topical issues of cooperation

Dushanbe, Oct. 12, 2018. / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziyev met with Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdullah Aripov as part of his working visit to Tajikistan.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields.

Abylgaziyev and Aripov noted with satisfaction the intensification of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation in all areas, which was reflected primarily in the tangible growth in trade between the two countries.

In addition, the heads of government stressed the importance of further enhancing interregional cooperation and agreed to hold a regular meeting of the Council of Plenipotentiaries in the border areas of Kyrgyzstan and khokims of the border areas of Uzbekistan in the near future in Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul region in order to give new impetus to the deepening of direct contacts between regions.

Taking this opportunity, Prime Minister Mukhammedkaliy Abylgaziyev thanked the leadership of Uzbekistan for building a school in Osh and expressed confidence that this educational institution would be one of the symbols of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek friendship.
