Bishkek, Nov. 21, 2018. /Kabar/. Nurdin Saparbayev won a gold medal at an international table tennis tournament in Russia, the State Agency for Youth, Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The competitions, dedicated to the memory of the first director of the UMMC table tennis club Alexander Zakharov, were held in the city of Verkhnyaya Pyshma on November 17-19. More than 150 sportsmen from seven regions of Russia, as well as Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the competition.
Saparbayev competed in the 46-60 age group. He beat Russian champion Andrei Zelenin in the finals by the score of 3:1. The bronze medal went to Eduard Assapov.
