Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2019. / Kabar /. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan took part in the Third International Alpine Ski Cup “Karakoram” in Pakistan, which was held from January 28 to February 3.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that at the ski base in the Gilgit-Baltistan region with the active assistance of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Pakistan, athletes from the Kyrgyz Republic participated in international competitions in alpine skiing sports along with 7 other foreign and 3 local teams.
According to the results of the competition, athletes from Ukraine and Turkey entered the top three winners.
Honored guests of the event from among the heads of state bodies and business circles of Pakistan highly appreciated the contribution of participating teams to the development of winter sports, and expressed hope for continued productive cooperation with the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the IRP in the development of bilateral cultural and humanitarian relations between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
