Kyrgyz athletes win 30 medals, including 2 gold in First Games of CIS countries in Kazan

Bishkek, Sept. 7, 2021. / Kabar /. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan take part in the First Games of the CIS countries, held in Kazan, the Republic of Tatarstan, which are held from 4 to 11 September.

According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Embassy in the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan has won 30 medals, of which 2 are gold: in wrestling and belt wrestling.

In total, more than 1,000 athletes from 9 CIS countries, including Kyrgyzstan, at the age of 14 to 23, take part in the games. Participants will compete for 182 sets of awards in 16 sports.

The opening ceremony of the Games took place on September 4, 2021 in the Universiade village. Athletes from 9 CIS countries marched with national flags to the accompaniment of national songs and dances.
