Bishkek, March 11, 2024. /Kabar/. Member of the Kyrgyz national wrestling team Aisuluu Tynybekova and member of the Kyrgyz national Greco-Roman wrestling team Zholaman Sharshenbekov won gold medals at the international Yasar Dogu, Vehbe Emre & Hamit Kaplan tournament in Antalya, Turkiye.
Tynybekova competed in the 62 kg weight category and started from the 1/8 finals
In the first bout she defeated the athlete from the USA Marilyn Garcia, and in the quarter-finals she defeated the wrestler from Turkey Kadriye Aksoy by fall.
The Russian Amina Tandeleva won in the semi-finals.
And in the final, Tynybekova defeated the athlete from Kazakhstan Irina Kuznetsova with a score of 5:0 and won the gold medal of the tournament.
Sharshenbekov competed in the weight category up to 60 kg and started from the 1/8 finals.
In the first bout, Sharshenbekov defeated an athlete from Kazakhstan with a score of 9:0, then in the quarterfinals he defeated an athlete from Turkiye with the same score. In the semi-finals, Sharshenbekov defeated the Uzbek athlete with a score of 8:0, and in the final he defeated the Iranian wrestler with a score of 5:0.
