Kyrgyz athletes win medals at Central Asian Weightlifting Championship

Bishkek, June 26, 2024. /Kabar/. Weightlifting athletes from Kyrgyzstan won medals at the Central Asian Weightlifting Championships, the press service of the Bishkek Mayor's Office reported.

Thus, the competition was held from June 20 to 24 of this year in Uzbekistan in the city of Chirchik.

As a result, the winners and prize-winners of the tournament were:

 Bayana Dogdurbekova – 3rd place (59 kg);

 Anisiya Baigacheva – 2nd place (64 kg);

 Zhamilya Zhenishbek – 3rd place (71 kg);

 Agata Baigacheva – 3rd place (+71 kg);

 Arsen Omurzhanov – 2nd place (61 kg).

The purpose of the event is to strengthen friendship between athletes from Central Asian countries, attract young people to systematic weightlifting and improve sportsmanship.
