Bishkek, Feb. 1, 2022. / Kabar /. In 2021, Kyrgyz athletes won 449 medals, including 122 gold, 121 silver, and 206 bronze Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Zhamankulov told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that one of the most significant are 3 (2 silver and 1 bronze) medals at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
“74 republican mass sports events were held in Kyrgyzstan over the past year, 1,359 in the regions of the republic. 107,187 people took part in them, 143 training camps, domestic athletes were sent to 120 international competition," he said.
