Bishkek, July 24, 2020. /Kabar/. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov talked over phone with Austria's Federal Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Alexander Schallenberg.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz MFA, in the course of the conversation, the sides emphasized the successful holding of meeting of the Kyrgyz-Austrian Joint Bilateral Commission on Foreign Economic Relations on Jan. 28-29, 2020 in Vienna, and attached importance to deepening and intensification of contacts between business circles of the two countries.
The two FMs expressed hope for further successful bilateral cooperation through the organization of mutual visits and for further intensification of the whole range of relations between the countries, including towards intensifying trade and economic relations, holding political consultations between the countries and strengthening the legal and contractual framework.
Special attention was paid to the necessity of joint practical cooperation in the fight against coronavirus infection and its negative social and economic consequences, in particular, contacts between medical experts of the two countries to exchange and obtain data on effective methods of COVID-19 treatment.
In addition, views were exchanged on topical regional and international policy issues.
