Kyrgyz border guards detain two Uzbek citizens who escaped from Tashkent prison

Bishkek, Aug. 5, 2020 / Kabar /. Border guards of the Ala-Buka border detachment in Jalal-Abad Oblast, together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, detained two Uzbek citizens who escaped from prison in Tashkent Oblast of Uzbekistan on Aug. 4.

The State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that the border guards of the Ala-Buka border detachment received information that two prisoners escaped from the places of detention of Zangiata region of Tashkent Oblast of Uzbekistan.

As a result of measures taken by the command of the Ala-Buka border detachment on the state border line, border guards, together with employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, detained two citizens of Uzbekistan who escaped from places of imprisonment in order to leave Uzbekistan.

Thanks to the vigilant actions of border guards and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, citizens of Uzbekistan S.Kh. 1996 year of birth and A.B. born in 1991 were detained in the Bel-Sogot area of Jalal-Abad oblast while trying to illegally cross the state border.

The detainees are handed over to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for further investigation.
