Bishkek, Mar. 12, 2019. /Kabar/. Elections for the post of business ombudsman will be held in June of this year, head of the Department for Business Regulation of the Ministry of Economy Akylay Kojomberdiyeva told at a press conference at the Kabar News Agency.
She noted that the business ombudsman will contribute to the transparency of the activities of state bodies and local self-government bodies in order to prevent corruption acts and/or other violations of the rights and/or legitimate interests of business entities.
“Currently, the Supervisory Board of the Business Ombudsman has been formed and AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce in the Kyrgyz Republic); Association of Markets, trade and service enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic; International Business Council (IBC); JIA Business Association; Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic have been identified as permanent participants from the business associations,” Kojomberdiyeva said.
She also added that from the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, Deputy Minister of Economy Alisherov joined the Supervisory Board.
