Kyrgyz Cabinet begins to actively implement National Development Program of country

Bishkek, Feb. 17, 2022 . / Kabar /. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has actively began to implement the National Development Program of the country until 2026, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Aziz Aaliyev said on the air of Birinchi Radio.

He noted that an ambitious task is set for 2022 - to bring the consolidated budget of the country to KGS 400 billion, which is almost KGS 90 billion more than in 2021.

"According to the results of 2021, we managed to stabilize the socio-economic indicators, to get out of the negative trend. The economy rose by 3.6%. The Cabinet of Ministers fulfilled in full all social obligations. The Cabinet has set a high task - to ensure a 6.5% economic growth rate. Starting from April 1, the task has been set to increase the salaries of public sector employees, and we will need additional KGS 35 billion for this purpose," Aaliyev said.

The deputy chairman of the Cabinet continued that this year the Ministry of Agriculture was instructed to ensure the rate of economic growth in the agricultural sector of not less than 5%.

"State banks will start lending under the agricultural financing program at 6% per annum in the next few days. In accordance with the order of President of the Kyrgyz Republic, a new program for financing agricultural producers is being developed, where the interest rate will be 6%, and the volume of lending will be increased to KGS 15 billion,” Aaliyev added.

Since the beginning of this year, the Ministry of Agriculture launched a number of reforms. It allocated KGS 1.5 billion for purchase of 15 thousand tons of seeds of food wheat, legumes and oil crops, there is cleaning and repair of irrigation facilities and channels. In addition, about KGS 1 billion were allocated for purchase of fertilizers to increase of harvest and solution of food safety issues.
