Kyrgyz Cabinet chairman and Kazakh president discus cooperation issues

Nur-Sultan, Dec. 8, 2021 / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, within the framework of his working visit to Nur-Sultan, met with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the meeting, Zhaparov and Tokayev discussed issues of opening the land border between the two countries.

“Considering the mutual recognition of the certificate on vaccination against coronavirus infection by the two countries, I ask you to assist in opening the land borders of Kazakhstan for vaccinated citizens of Kyrgyzstan,” Akylbek Zhaparov said.

In addition, he noted the high level of strategic partnership and alliance between the two countries.

In turn, Tokayev congratulated the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the successful holding of parliamentary elections and noted the prospects for the development of mutually beneficial relations between fraternal countries.

In conclusion, the sides also discussed a number of topical issues of cooperation in the field of energy, agriculture and investment.
