Bishkek, April 15, 2024. / Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov arrived in Washington (USA) to participate in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported that as part of the working visit, Akylbek Zhaparov will hold a number of meetings with heads of international financial institutions and organizations, such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, USAID, American-Kyrgyz Chamber of Commerce, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Asian Development Bank , European Investment Bank.
The main topic of discussion between the parties will be the development of the hydropower sector, in particular the construction project of the Kambarata HPP-1, as well as economic prospects and climate change issues, and the promotion of the Polar Star school education transformation program.
In addition, a number of meetings are planned with representatives of leading US financial and technology corporations.
