Kyrgyz Cabinet chairman gets acquainted with restoration work in border villages of Batken

Bishkek, Sept. 30, 2022 / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov visited the villages of Kapchygai, Ak-Sai, Min-Oruk and Dostuk of Batken Oblast.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers met with residents of border villages, and also examined residential buildings, social and infrastructure facilities that suffered from an act of armed aggression by Tajikistan.

Currently, work is underway on the ground to assess and restore facilities. Rescuers, volunteers, special equipment are involved in the restoration work.

“In the village of Kapchygai, almost all houses were destroyed. We will build new houses, which is provided with the appropriate infrastructure, including clean water, street lighting, asphalt roads. This will be a new village, an appropriate general plan needs to be developed,” Akylbek Zhaparov said, giving relevant instructions to the relevant state and local authorities.

In the village of Ak-Sai, the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers inspected the building of the destroyed school.

Instructions were given to study the issue of building a new school, taking into account the safety of children.

In addition, Akylbek Zhaparov inspected the destroyed poultry farm.

He noted that state financial institutions will allocate preferential loans for the restoration and development of production.

In the city of Batken, the head of the Cabinet paid tribute to the memory of those who died as a result of the armed conflict. A memorial prayer was read.
