Kyrgyz Cabinet chairman holds negotiations with representatives of TBEA and CNNC

Bishkek, June 26, 2024. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, as part of a working trip to Urumqi (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China), met with President of TBEA Company Limited Zhang Xin.

During the meeting, projects previously implemented by the company for the modernization of the Bishkek thermal power plant, the Datka-Kemin high-voltage power line and the construction of a substation, as well as projects to improve power lines in the southern regions of the republic and future plans were discussed.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic noted the importance of projects implemented by TBEA for the republic and called on the company to take part in the development of projects on renewable energy sources in Kyrgyzstan. One of the areas of cooperation is the introduction of technologies for charging electric vehicles and the installation of corresponding devices.

In turn, the president of the TBEA company, Zhang Xin, expressed his readiness to implement new ideas and energy projects with Kyrgyzstan.

Afterwards, Akylbek Zhaparov met with Deputy Chairman of the Chinese National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) Lu Tezhong.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy, in particular the construction of solar power plants, as well as prospects for the implementation of projects in other sectors of the economy.

As a result of the meeting between Fortis KG LLC, National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan OJSC and the Green Energy Fund under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, an investment project was signed for the construction of a solar power plant with a total capacity of 400 MW on the Kara-Talaa site.

TBEA Company Limited (Tebian Electric Apparatus) is a Chinese company that specializes in the production of electrical equipment, develops and implements projects for the transmission of electricity (high-voltage power lines), the construction of solar and wind power plants, mines coal and gold, and produces thermal electricity.

China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) is a large state-owned enterprise under the direct control of the Chinese government, one of the leading players in the country's national nuclear industry. CNNC successfully built the first nuclear power plant on the Chinese mainland.
