Kyrgyz Cabinet chairman instructs to improve provision of medical care to children

Bishkek, Jan. 10, 2023. / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov held a meeting on improving the quality of medical services, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

During the meeting, tasks in the healthcare sector for the current year were considered.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers in his speech noted that if a patient came to the hospital, he should receive timely qualified medical care.

“We must have clear, understandable and effective standards for the work of medical personnel. In all hospitals, new emergency rooms should be built that will meet international standards, sterile and equipped with the necessary infrastructure. This year it is necessary to make a breakthrough in the development of health care and education. We will restore order in these areas,” he said.

Akylbek Zhaparov instructed the Ministry of Health to develop and present clear standards for the provision of medical care and services in medical institutions, including taking effective measures to improve the provision of medical care to children by restoring pediatric services in healthcare organizations and resuming the work of headquarters to study the causes of maternal and child mortality, introduce a round-the-clock hotline on issues of non-provision of medical care to the population, and work out the issue of leasing ambulances.

The Fund of Compulsory Medical Insurance was instructed to ensure full coverage of uninsured categories of the population with compulsory medical insurance, with the exception of socially vulnerable categories of the population.
