Bishkek, March 14, 2022. / Kabar /. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met with Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic in Finland Petri Olavi Numminen.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between the countries, the press service of the Cabinet reported Monday.
In particular, topics of activation of economic diplomacy and attraction of investments were touched upon.
Akylbek Zhaparov informed the diplomat that at the moment the priority programs of the Cabinet of Ministers are green economy, agriculture, renewable energy, light industry, tourism and digitalization.
In turn, Honorary Consul Petri Olavi Numminen informed the head of the Cabinet about the ongoing work to attract Finnish investors to the republic. In this context, he reported on the planned visit of representatives of the Finnish business community in Kyrgyzstan.
Zhaparov reminded of the advantages of doing business in the country, including liberal laws, favorable conditions for business and low tax rates. He proposed to consider the prospects of creating a cluster for the development of winter mountain tourism with the participation of Finnish investors, as well as the export of bottled water in the world markets using the Finnish experience.
The sides also noted with satisfaction that 2022 will mark 30th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Finland.
