Bishkek, May 18, 2022 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov met with representatives of Korea Telecom Corporation, the press service of the Cabinet reported Wednesday.
"The leadership of the country is interested in building an open, transparent and fair government. One of the important steps to achieve this goal is the creation of a digital government. The National Development Program of the country until 2026 prioritizes the development of "green" economy and digital transformation," Akylbek Zhaparov said, expressing gratitude to the company for supporting the initiative to develop a national strategy for the digital development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The head of the Cabinet expressed readiness to further strengthen and develop cooperation with the telecommunications company, to introduce best practices in the economic and financial sectors, and in the field of information and communication technologies.
During the meeting, the results of research on the development of the National Strategy for Digital Transformation of the Kyrgyz Republic were presented.
President of KT Corporation Yun Kyoung-Lim expressed interest in further fruitful cooperation.
