Kyrgyz Cabinet head departs for Turkmenistan

Bishkek, May 24, 2024. / Kabar/. The Kyrgyz delegation headed by Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov flew to Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) to participate in the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The composition of the delegation:

- First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev;

- Muratbek Azymbakiev, Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkmenistan Azizbek Madmarov;

- Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Belarus and Permanent Plenipotentiary Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the CIS Charter Bodies Erbol Sultanbaev;

- Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Amangeldiev;

- First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Asein Isaev;

- Ulukbek Karmyshakov, authorized representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Commission on Economic Issues under the CIS Economic Council.

The agenda of the meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS countries includes more than 10 issues, including discussion of cooperation in the energy sector and the action plan for the development of international transport corridors.

In addition, the meeting is scheduled to adopt a number of documents on cooperation in health care, chemical industry, handling hazardous waste and combating offenses in the field of intellectual property.

A number of bilateral meetings are also scheduled within the framework of the visit.
