Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2022 / Kabar/. Akylbek Zhaparov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan held talks with UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Mohammed Al-Mazrui and with Director General of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund Mohammed Saif Al-Suwaydi.
During the meeting, relations between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE and the possibility of expanding bilateral economic cooperation were discussed.
The chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers noted the high dynamics of development of the Kyrgyz-Emirati relations.
“During the recent visit of the president of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Arab Emirates, 9 international documents were signed, including an intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of a joint holding. Currently, our state bodies are working to speed up the ratification of this document, the Agreement will soon come into force and the company begins its activities, this undoubtedly brings investment cooperation between the two countries to a new level,” Akylbek Zhaparov said.
During the talks, the head of the Cabinet paid special attention to the problem of providing clean water to rural areas, building affordable housing in the Kyrgyz Republic, and developing renewable energy projects.
Among other topical areas of cooperation that were discussed during the meeting are agriculture, communications, processing industry, and the introduction of advanced technologies.
In turn, the Emirati side expressed its readiness to become a partner in financing strategic projects and provide support for the implementation of projects focused on vital sectors of the economy.
In conclusion, the head of the cabinet of ministers invited the director of the Abu Dhabi Development Fund to pay a working visit to Kyrgyzstan.
