Bishkek, April 6, 2022. / Kabar /. The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan with the assistance of the World Bank Group will hold an energy forum "Transformation of the energy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic on the way to affordable and sustainable energy of the future" on April 8 in Bishkek.
The event will discuss the main directions of energy reforms and investment cooperation, issues of improving cooperation between international development partners in support of energy sector reforms in the country.
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov, international development partners, representatives of government agencies and investors will take part in the event.
During the forum sessions the participants will discuss the priorities of the Cabinet on the development of solar energy with the participation of the private sector, the strategy (roadmap of reforms and priority investments) of the energy sector reform, social protection measures for the population on energy sector issues.
A panel discussion on "The enabling environment for solar energy projects in the Kyrgyz Republic", as well as a discussion on the contribution of international financial institutions in reforming the domestic energy sector will be held as part of the forum.
