Kyrgyz Cabinet regulates issues related to protection of citizens' health in field of HIV

Bishkek, Jan.9, 2025. /Kabar/. Some issues of health protection of citizens in the field of HIV have been regulated, the Toktom portal reported.

Thus, in order to implement the state policy on the prevention of HIV and blood-borne viral hepatitis, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers approved:

- Procedure for examination, record and confidentiality of information on human immunodeficiency virus. The procedure regulates compulsory medical examination for HIV, mandatory HIV screening of foreign citizens and stateless persons, provision of information on HIV to a third party without prior written consent of the examined person, as well as state registration and recording of all HIV cases on the basis of digital technologies;

- List of persons subject to free examination and certification for HIV, hemocontact viral hepatitis (hepatitis B and C) in state health care organizations and social institutions regardless of departmental subordination;

- List of specialties and positions subject to mandatory medical examination for HIV and hemocontact viral hepatitis (hepatitis B and C);

- List of specialties and positions regulating the employment of persons living with HIV;

- List of industries, works, professions and positions with the right to annual additional paid leave in connection with the provision of HIV services.

The Resolution shall enter into force upon expiration of ten days from the date of its official publication.
