Bishkek, Nov.20, 2024. /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration Akylbek Zhaparov met with Managing Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Central Asia Hüseyin Özhan.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet reported that the meeting discussed cooperation issues in the spheres of economy, finance, investments, mining industry.
Akylbek Zhaparov noted that projects in the fields of energy, transport, and irrigation are considered priorities for Kyrgyzstan.
In this context, he defined opportunities of the EBRD in providing support and financing for the implementation of major investment projects, taking into account the existing experience of the organization in the framework of cooperation.
In turn, EBRD Managing Director in Central Asia Hüseyin Özhan thanked for the fruitful cooperation with the Kyrgyz Republic and noted that the EBRD currently works within 10 projects.
