Kyrgyz capital city to host Jazz_Bishkek_Spring festival

Bishkek, April 10, 2023. / Kabar/. XVIII Bishkek International Jazz Festival "Jazz_Bishkek_Spring" will be held on April 20-21, organizers say.

“Jazz_Bishkek_Spring Festival” is an expected calendar event of spring. The motto of the festival is Music without borders. Our mission is to build bridges through cultural cooperation in the name of friendship and understanding between peoples. Jazz is the music of free and creative people.

UNESCO has declared April 30 as International Jazz Day. Starting from 2018, the Bishkek International Jazz Festival has been included in the program of festivals dedicated to this day. Thanks to the 17 Bishkek International Jazz Festivals, it was possible to acquaint the Kyrgyz people with the peculiarities of the perception and interpretation of jazz by 176 groups from 21 countries: Azerbaijan, Austria, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, the USA , Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, France, Switzerland, Estonia, Japan.

Groups from Austria, Israel, Italy and Kyrgyzstan submitted applications for participation in the festival.
