Bishkek, March 4, 2021. / Kabar /. BIZ Franchise Forum was held in Bishkek, the press service of the Kyrgyz Patent reported on Thursday.
Among the participants of the Fforum, which was co-organized by the Kyrgyz Patent, were successful national and international brands, as well as newcomers and experienced franchisors, who presented their franchises and shared experiences on scaling and business management.
"The intellectual property rights licensed in a franchise agreement almost always cover trademarks and copyrights, and often include trade secrets, industrial designs and patents, depending on the nature of the business. In other words, the whole spectrum of intellectual property rights is covered," said Chairwoman of the Kyrgyz Patent Dinara Moldosheva at the opening of the Forum.
During the exhibition, which was visited by more than 1,000 representatives of the business community, experts of Kyrgyz Patent have given consultations for franchisees and franchisors. Entrepreneurs were interested in questions on registration and termination of license agreements, requirements for submission and procedure of applications, etc.
At the event, participants learned about the tools and technologies of franchise business development in Kyrgyzstan, how to avoid common mistakes of beginner franchisees and how to choose the right franchise. The participants offered their business services and found partners and interested parties in this area.
Kyrgyz Patent regulates relations in the field of industrial property, copyright and related rights and development of the innovation ecosystem of the Kyrgyz Republic, the main purpose of the agency is to ensure a unified state policy in the field of intellectual property protection and innovation development.
Since 1995, Kyrgyz Patent has registered a total of about 2,000 license agreements.
